Research & Development Manager (Director Designate)

Sycadex Ltd is a young company established to commercialise the unique psychological concept of Identity Structure Analysis (ISA). Backed by over 30 years of research, ISA is a method of investigating identity which enables valid comparisons between individuals and generalisations across groups, highlighting values and beliefs as well as issues which may be regarded as stressful or cause anxiety.

Sycadex has built a powerful software engine around the fundamental processes within ISA and has brought this to market in the form of a variety of analytical assessments, which are in use in a range of applied environments as an alternative to traditional psychometrics. Our software is also available to customers who wish to use it to build their own analytical instruments.

Clients and Partners are involved in diverse areas such as Human Resources, Multiculturalism, Clinical Psychology, Social Research and Societal Conflict.

Sycadex has an immediate requirement for a Research and Development Manager to join our Senior Management Team. This is a Director Designate position and the successful candidate will report directly to the MD and Board. The R&D Manager will be expected to contribute strongly to the growth of the company by identifying and leading commercially founded projects with Clients and Partners in both the public and private sectors.

The R&D Manager will also provide leadership to our in-house team of Psychologists and Software Engineers. Ideal candidates will have an Honours degree in Psychology (Postgraduate degree preferred), at least five years experience in an applied environment (ideally a commercial environment) and will be chartered or eligible for chartership.
